Our Community Commitment

Full of small-town charm and proud residents, Islamorada is a vibrant community alive with island spirit. It's our privilege to operate our resorts in this piece of paradise, and we work hard to support it through volunteer efforts, donations, and on-property activations. Discover the impactful connections that we’ve cultivated with local organizations to give back to the community that we call home.

Give Kids the World

Help critically ill children find paradise with opportunities to give back throughout your stay. A portion of proceeds from sales of our annual fishing tournament, Getalys Gelato, and select retail items in Abel’s Tackle Box & General Goods help to provide critically ill children and their families with week-long wish vacations.

Friends of the Pool

On the National Register of Historic Places, the iconic Alligator Reef Lighthouse is in need of care and restoration. Each year in partnership with Friends of the Pool, Amara Cay Resort hosts an eight-mile fundraiser swim to the lighthouse and back to restore this beacon of Islamorada.

Upper Keys Humane Society

Three of our resorts welcome four-legged family members on your Florida Keys vacation. A portion of your pet fee goes directly to support local animals at the Upper Keys Humane Society.

I.Care

I.Care uses a community-based approach to reef restoration in the Florida Keys, with opportunities for community members to get involved with coral transplanting, marine debris clean-ups, and reef monitoring. Our resorts all make donations to this impactful foundation.

Florida Keys Wild Bird Center

All three of our resorts are release sites for rehabilitated winged residents of the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center. Join us on a release day to learn more about the patient as it’s released back into its natural habitat.

Coral Restoration Foundation™

Donations made during our full moon yoga classes go directly to support the foundation’s efforts to regrow and restore coral reefs, and educate the community on the importance of our coral reefs.
